Apolipoprotein A (apoA1): This test measures the amount of apolipoprotein A in the bloodstream, which is informative to assessing one’s risk of cardiovascular disease. Apolipoprotein A is the structure protein of HDL (good cholesterol) and can help to lower your risk for cardiovascular disease. 

Fasting Required: No fasting required for this individual test. If ordered with other tests (or a lipid profile), fasting may then be required.  

Who: Individuals over the age of 18 who are determining their risk for cardiovascular disease. 

What: Blood specimen.

Why: To assess the risk of cardiovascular disease. 

Where: All specimens are collected at The IV Lounge location of your choice. We have 5 locations throughout central Florida.
